A new animated series called Activate has launched to encourage children across the country to be more physically active over the summer break.
Co-created by fitness coach Joe Wicks MBE and the team behind Hey Duggee (Studio AKA), Activate is backed by the government as part of a nationwide effort to promote movement among school-aged children. It has been developed in partnership with the Department of Health & Social Care, Department for Education, and Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

Why this matters
Over half of children in the UK (53%) are not meeting recommended daily physical activity levels. Activate aims to address this by offering fun and accessible movement opportunities that can be easily slotted into daily routines whether at home, school, summer clubs, or on the go.
